Colorado Convention Center

If you are in town for a trade show or event at the Colorado Convention Center (CCC) this guide will help you attend without wasting time in traffic, looking for parking, etc. so you can quickly get back to Winter Park.  The CCC is located in downtown Denver, next to the Denver Performing Arts Complex and is also close to the Colorado State Capitol and the 16th Street Mall. The Auraria Campus, which is the home of three university and college campuses, is also nearby. These are the University of Colorado Denver, Community college of Denver, and Metropolitan State College of Denver. The convention center opened in 1990 when the NBA Draft for the Denver Nuggets took place. In 2004, several meeting rooms, ballrooms, and an indoor amphitheatre were added. Many organizations hold their affairs at this location, and around 400 events occur at the Denver Convention Center each year.

Many top hotels have locations close to the convention center, and many of them are within walking distance of this facility. The Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center is a large high-end hotel that is adjacent to the convention center. With over 1,100 guestrooms and more than 60,000 square feet of meeting and banquet space, there is room for large business events as well as social events, such as wedding receptions. Embassy Suites Denver Convention Center is another popular hotel that is located close to the convention center. This large hotel has 14 venues that can accommodate from 35 to 650 people if guests need to hold business meetings during their stay. A 24-hour business center is available day and night, and the Denver Light Rail System is close by for those who want to go out of the downtown area. Self-parking is not available at this hotel, but valet parking is offered at $29.00.

The Hilton Garden Inn Denver Downtown is located next to the convention center in the central downtown area. This hotel is designed to accommodate business people and is near many corporate offices as well. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, a 24-hour business center, and 6,800 square feet of space for meetings. There is a fitness center and indoor pool for staying in shape while staying at the Hilton. Guest rooms feature either rooms or suites with a separate living room with views of the Rocky Mountains. Self-parking is not available at the hotel, but there is valet parking.

There are other downtown hotels that are located close to the convention center. One of these is the Ritz-Carlton, a high rise luxury hotel with over 200 guest rooms. Some of these are suites that have living areas that have a formal dining room, private study, and mountain views. Business services are available, including wireless Internet and state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment. Valet parking is available. Another luxury hotel in the downtown Denver area is the Four Seasons Hotel Denver, a 45-story tower with 239 guest rooms and suites. Located only three blocks from the convention center, it has panoramic views of the Rocky Mountains and a rooftop pool. A business center is open 24-hours every day where guests may use a private office or meeting space complete with audio-visual equipment and translation and interpretation service available.
